1 Jerky Wales → Katzebee, Alaska
several Semi-polinated Plovers were seen.
One was very excited as if it were nesting -
or else where she was. In The same area,
2 flocks of peps were observed. One of
4-5 Western ; The other of 6-f-Western
+ 4-6 Red-bock (two fwhel were
collected + one which died an aerial
display). Occas. other display ! The
redbocks have been heard - more than
that of any other sandpiper. One phrase
of the Western display was heard -
it consisted of a trill which dropped
in pitch, De This repeated again.
6000000000000
The display of phelemonus was not
heard but a call note - tweede,
tweede.... repeated in rapid succession
was heard once. This reminded
me of the Red-bock, but on a lower
pitch.
One western sandpiper rocketed to
an individual landing rest then - by
cocking his tail + following after the
bird - as in the events grounds at
Berkeley - This lasted only 1-2 minutes.
Young Westerns were seen (collected
bonded) - as also was one
nest with 4 eggs.
