Holmes,R. 1961 Journal 24 June Barrow, Alaska Sloped today, looking for sandpipers. 5 redlocks were collected - all that were seen during the submerging (actual lothe sea + mixed in collecting). The stomach was generally empty - but then may be due to the fact that we may have been flushing incubating birds - while had not been feeding for a long period of time. The afternoon-evening was spent in clearing up the last insect samples & calculating Sandpiper data. Johnson left early in the afternoon. Weather- Today cloudy + windy - with the clouds moving away in the evening - so that it was sunny + windy (15-20 mph - NE). A fox - Alepex - was seen next to Colepile Slough - in almost summer geese. Also - white area after ring remained. The animal seemed to be hunting lemmings or other mice 25 June Barrow, Alaska Censused Pitelka's plot in the morning. I went to the insect plot - in the afternoon - where both sweepnet Pond samples were taken. The weather
