9 June Barrow, Alaska
but there appeared to be fewer
than this morning. No territorial
defense or mating activity was
noted among any birds. One
Ruddy Turnstone and 1aniel
Ldp. were also noted.
10 June Barrow, Alaska.
1300-1600. Voth Area (No. ot) along gas-well
road. The snow is melting,
reduced and more lundes are
appearing in the tundra. Four
flocky ducks (1 of 4s Old Squaw,
and 1 of 20 King Eider and
several Old Squaws). Two Snow
Geese were also seen. Two (1pr)
Semipal. Saps were collected,
Red-birds Ldp. were quite common
and 1 Bards were seen. Snow
Buntings and Longspurs were
abundant with more & hopper
seen present.
11 June Barrow, Alaska
1320-1630. Drum area and
beyond for several hundred
yards. The weather was
cold and snowy. The
snow is fast becoming soft
