Holmes, R. 1961 Journal 7. 9 June Barrow, Alaska The edge, but there is no meat as yet. The water, is just running off the blunder in small streams + This warm, sunny weather today will just further the process. Sullivan arrived this afternoon + the remnants! The day was spent with him in watching for lot coals. In the evening, he + I went to central marsh, Woblochler, Slough + Clear Lagoon. A fox - 80% white pelage was found near the coastal lagoon + Elsa. It would sit up on a mound, look around + then run away, + do this again. This was The Arctic Fox, Aleutian lagopus. 10 June Barrow, Alaska Sullivan + I went to Veth's area vicinity looking for mink plots. A tentative area was picked No. of Trophelin III A+B. Some trial runs were made with very little results. (i.e. no active forms as now at the surface). 2 The afternoon we went to The Goaltie ridge + bear ridge. The Daphnia & Golema are existing free of snow, as they should be run soon.
