2 Glanous Gulls were noted flying S. of
The A.R.L.
1300-1500. Archi Ocean - Lead. Several
flocks of King and Common Eider
which were mostly moving toward the
N.E. A few were sitting in the
water about 200 yards off
shore. 1 Flock of 12 Speckled
Eiders flew by within 30 yds.
The white check patches did not
stand out too clearly, but were distinguish-
ible. Otherwise they appeared very
similar in coloration to the
Common Eider. Old Squaw
in all plumages were
abundant and were moving
back and forth (E. + W.) along
the air pack. 4 Yellow-billed
and 2 Pacific Loons were
seen flying eastward. 1 Black
Guillemot was 30 yds off
shore and 29 Red Phalaropes
were seen. Glanous Gulls-6
11 Pomarine Jaegers.
