Holmes, R. 1968 Journal 26 Aug Barrow, Alaska 1 more specimens were processed. In the evening more foxes were brought in + more Specimen processed. During the last three days we have had a hard Easterly wind blowing while has not let up for any length of time. The wind has been accompon by a layer / dark clouds & Snow falls while this afternoon, it rained. 27 Aug Barrow, Alaska Flux to Pitt Point with Zimmerman & returned. Total trip took 2 hours with only a very few minutes on the ground. Jaegers + ovals were both seen quite common as for east / Admiralty Bay. A few jaegers were seen south / Cape Simpson & a few at Pitt Point. On, 1-2 Ovls were seen east / Admiralty Bay. At Pitt Point, Glauconous Gulls were fairly common + numerous Ads were sickly around a Pt Funda (note - The purpose of our trip was to take extra traps to Reprobes. Seen his lens were being carried by a gull.
