Holmes, R. 1960 Journal 19 Aug Barrow, Alaska The morning was spent processing lemming & writing notes. In The afternoon, Wam's & I restarted trapline IV at B and then moved the traps from II to these lines. 20 Aug Barrow, Alaska Checked traps & processed specimens in the morning & went with Moh- to Central Marsh for trapping in the afternoon. The traps in Osth's Area were checked in the evening. The weather during the past 2 days has been overcast & cool. 21 Aug Barrow = Keroavik, Alaska In the morning, I checked the traps & processed specimens. In the afternoon, I drove to the lake where I restocked the lower end of the plot further the owls. Then after checking some temperatures for Cassa, I returned via Dry Lake & Footprint Lake. These lake beds are not well populated with beavers this year. The south end & J. Footprint seem to be too free of water - which
