Holmes, R. 1960 Journal 53 13 Aug Barrow, Alaska specimens were prepared. 14 Aug Barrow, Alaska Traps were checked at the Birch Ridge in the morning, and in the evening they were picked up. The remainder of the day was spent in doing odd jobs. My skin was cut up. Dr. Thomas (Ohio State Univ.), Mrs. J. Nat Hirt), Dr. Wolfe (ABC) and another gentleman visited the lot during the afternoon. The tundra has become drained during the past three days; however there are still very many puddle pools present and the marsh is still quite wet. The weather today has been quite cold (at five hundred night 15 Aug Barrow, Alaska Drove to Stroik in the morning, weighed the pods at Nest #10, and did some work on the plot (stake were counted out a ploud along the west edge of the plot). Afternoons, I met Reginald and J WTA', Ava, and we placed out Graphus II A+B. The weather today was cold and windy (NE-20mph). There was little bird activity.
