3 August Barrow = So. Barrow ?, Alaska
The most numerous (5th?) birds were
in Footprint Lake. The weather was
overcast, but there was no
wind. We arrived back at
the bore at 1800.
4 August Barrow, Alaska
Specimens were prepared in the
morning & evening. During the
afternoon, notes were written.
5 August Barrow, Alaska
Weather today was miserable,
A cold SE wind was blowing
and this coupled with light rain
made this a very uncomfortable day
outside. Lab work was continued
and is now nearly caught up.
6 August Barrow = Skroavik, Alaska
I left the lab at 0830 & drove
directly to the lake where I spent
the rest of the day. The plot was
"cursed" - and only 1 RB was
seen on the plot (that is - the 1 RB) This
area is now getting quite
green: as there is little dry
grass to heat the new growth.
I returned via Footprint Lake.
