Holmrs,R. 1960 Journal 43. 29 Judy Barrow, Alaska Specimens were prepared in the morning. In the afternoon, the break ridge central moved to the area east of the Bend ridge was checked. Then was very little activity except east of the ridge where second birds were located in the muddy - semi dry ponds. The weather was clear - but windy. The ice is still along the shore, but a level can now be seen beyond the birds pressure ridge. 30 July Barrow, Alaska In the morning, lab work was completed. In the afternoon, I drove to Outh's tree vicinity, where I collected a few birds. The weather today crossed to wavy - snowy - the first such day all summer. In the evening, specimens were prepared. 31 July Barrow, Alaska Maher, Dr.+ Mrs. Hume and I left the bar at 1038 headed for the Pass.
