Holmes, R. 1960 Journal 43. 24 July Barrow, Alaska Call, which is much harsher Than the call of the tern. 25 July Barrow, Alaska. Worked on notes and specimens during the morning. In the afternoon, I drove to Volk's Arm, and Marsh + to Denali Ridge (where the transmission went out on 492). Walked back to the gas well road when I was picked up by Andy Crane + brought back into the tree. I then returned in another wreck + retrieved my equipment. In the evening, I prepared specimens. 26 July Barrow = Skroaville, Alaska The morning spent in preparing specimens and writing notes. In the afternoon, Reynolds and I went to the south end of Loon Lake via the east shore of Skroaville, and then around the south end of the lake, up to the plot and the evanagar and then back to Barrow.
