Holmes, R. 1960 Journal 32. 6 July Barrow, Alaska In the morning, The traps were checked + a census was made on the lemmings, adjacent to the lined logater (This was done last evening). In the afternoon, a trip was made to Vith + Button's Areas, with' Stough, + the north end of Jutport late. Birds were again conspicuous about except for the ever present jaeger + I shot 1 Pectoral in the Stough. This seems extremely rare for this drop in activity. 7 July Barrow, Alaska This was the day of another jaeger walk + I was a duty from 0900 to 1300. After having dinner + seen Brown, I worked all afternoon in the drum area trying to catch a snow bunting (with no success). In the evening traps were broken in + 2 again were at the jaeger nest from 2100 to 0100. 8 July Barrow -> Skovvik, Alaska The morning + early afternoon were spent in preparing specimens + preparing to journey to The Wainija.
