Holmes, R 1959 Journal Snow Bantings abundant on rufete carrying twigs (or grass). Three Ruddy Turnstones seen sitting in snow. Flea off in a southerly direction uttering their alarm notes. 1 Savanna Sparrow in tundra. 1030 - Barrow Point, N.E. of A.R.L. Weather - overcast. Snow Bantings and lapland Longspurs abundant. The bantings were noted singing while the longspurs were apparently not engaged in their breeding activities. Flak of 75 Common Eiders and 1 King Eider flying over frozen ice, towards the N.E. Several Redpolls seen. 1900 - 2005. Barrel Area behind A.R.L. Weather - light snow and SE wind. Wilson's Snipe -1 Red-b. Sdp. - 2 and the 3 - some chasing going on, Ruddy Turn- stone - sev.(b) - I seen chasing another for several seconds. Longspurs and Buntingi abundant. (Blaucous Gulls) (270) present near dump area. The longspurs were performing their flight songs while they had not been doing this afternoon. It consists of flying up to about
