Holmes,R 1960 Journal 25. 26 June Barrow, Alaska Reynolds and I went over to the shore of Elom Lagoon and Whiskology Slough with the purpose of collecting sandpipers. The weather was miserable, it being rainy windy. In the evening, Pikelka + I went over to Britton's + Voth's Area, and we picked up several birds. The snow is almost completely gone now; there is still ice on the Lagoon, and the shore ice is still in. 27 June Barrow, Alaska Warner + I checked the traplines near Ady's in the morning, and the remainder of the morning was spent in preparing specimens, etc. In the afternoon, I went to Central Marge + to Dive Nest # 2, where I sat in the blind for about 2 hours. The day was sunny + warm; insects made their first appearance. The evening was spent along the beach ridges between the gas line + the Beverage antennae and near AAES 28 June Barrow - Wainright -> Barrow, Alaska The morning was spent in Anticipal of departure and in Teller with Dr. Robert Weeden, of The Alaska
