Helmer R 1960 Journal 15. 12 june Barrow, Alaska were processed in the evening. Today was a rather warm + windless day, and The amount I melt off won noticeable. The gullies along slet logoon had running water and many! The logoons were softening to the point when they were quite mushy 13 june Barrow, Alaska The beach ridge was checked during the morning. I walked from the gas line to the magnetic station (bod of AAES). The bird activity seemed rather low. Only 1 or 2 Longspurs war seen + several sandpiper (see species accounts). In the afternoon, Voth+ Britt's Area were visited. Several Baird's + Red-billed Sandpipers seen, but open land activity was low. A flock of longspurs was seen (9 birds, 88, 17, 58+12 credited) between Voth + Britt's Area. The evening was spent processing timmings 14 june Barrow, Alaska Spent the morning setting up the plot on the west shore (Keroavile. The bulk of the afternoon was passed by working a specimens.
