Holmes, R. 1960 Journal 8 June Barrow, Alaska walked the approximate length of the cirmpl. There are several pairs / longspins, several redback & jaegans and little sla guest / peckul was also seen. The area is still fairly well covered with snow, but the ridge top is now becoming exposed. a little more. 9 June Barrow, Alaska The morning + afternoon were spent in the area along Elson Lagoon from the west (N.W.) to the area just south / north slough. The jaegans are now nesting + can be seen everywhere. 10 June Barrow, Alaska Went to Footprint + Likroavile Lakes to check on red-back activity. The morning was windy + overcast. The afternoon was spent in the lot work or lunnings. During the evening, the wind died down, and the sun came out, so the area along Elson Lagoon was visited. Shoulder activities seemed to increase during this time. (Seen the last week,
