It will be interesting to see how this affects next year lemming and shrews activity (in the latter case, in what to nest caves, etc.). 27 August Barrow, Alaska Traps checked in the morning, and Wibelschlag Slogg & others were adjacent to Elson Lagoon were visits. Very little bird life was found. The afternoon was spent working on a microtome from Urrist. The evening was spent out toward The point + Nunuk. Frolics of traps were brought in. 28 August Barrow, Alaska Lot work was completed during the morning. Bell Meter, M. Daniels & I went to Footprint Lake and vicinity. In the afternoon Traps checked Freshwater Lagoon. Little shrew activity seen. Traps were set out north of this area.
