Young branches and midrib of leaves with light rusty red caducous tomentum hr. dark gr abv, glaucous below. Fls hinds yellow bran with scurfy indumentum. Fruits 3cm long, 1.5 cm wide gr-brwn seed w/ white toto, embedded i pithy yellow flesh. 5323 Lithocarpus Fagaceae x10 DNA Tree, 25m? I 40cm dbh. Both light-grey shallowly longitudinally fissured. Inner bark red, root yellow. Many twigs light gr below w/ yellow midrib. Fls fl-xlbng beside. Cups very grey-green, nut grn.
