Sep.27 Pescadero Marsh : 30 Sep.29 Alder Camp Rd., Del Norte Co, Calif: 1 on sandy gravel bar on Klamath River : stocky, heavily striped breast sharply cut off from belly, nearly same size as Killdeer. First county record? Oct.8 Woodland Sugar Ponds, Yolo Co, Calif : 30 roosting on dirt dikes at pond edge. Tremendous variation in body size and coloration. Breast streaking very variable. Cap may be red like Sharp-tailed Sandpiper. Legs anywhere from yellow to gray green.
