Aug. 5 Limantour Spit, Point Reyes, Marin Co., Calif: 1 in full
breeding plumage - reddish neck visible; sharply outlined
white face, high crest on rear of head; large size - as
big as nearby Heermann's Gull; long large bill. My
first summer record.
