Loma, San Diego County San Diego State Calif Elevation ~ 300' Observer Van Remsen Number of birds 1 Time of Day ~ 1200 Light conditions excellent, light coming from behind Distance to bird 30-46' Optical equipment 10x50 binocs Length of time observed 5 minutes Sex Unknown Plumage (e.g. Breeding) non-breeding Overall appearance and relative size: a Dendroica warbler thought at first from a distance to be a Blackpoll Bill: Dendroica-type, dark Crown and forehead: yellowish green Nape: yellowish green, faint streaks Face: yellowish green with faint dark supercilary Eye: dark Throat: yellowish smudged word (illegible) Breast and sides: yellowish. A couple of nearly invisible streaks on sides. Belly and flanks: yellowish with two noticeable but faint smears of brownish color on flanks extending from level of low breast to thighs. Undertail coverts: whitish (not buffy) Back: greenish with a few longitudinal stripes Wings: Dark with two white wingbars Underwings: not seen Rump: not seen Uppertail coverts: greenish
