Brown Thrasher
Toxostoma rufum
Dec. 1
7 Tamalpais Rd, Fairfax, Marin Co., Calif : I was seen
coming to feed on seeds at the home of Morton Wilson
where it has returned to winter for three years in a row
now. It was a beautiful orange-rusty bird with much grayness
around a yellow eye - it should really be named Orange
Thrasher or at least Rufous Thrasher - "Brown" is a
misnomer
