in a heap of boards and chains in the bow of the boat - proper
habitat!

redwoods on n. edge of campus near Hearst Ave. - first time I've
ever seen one on campus

no back streaks, Winter Wren call, short tail - must be a very rare bird
in Inyo Co. Single records were listed in American Birds for Inyo Co
in fall 72 and fall 71
