A.- A little over one mile west of Huntsmville is [illegible] the lens & Ortho[?]chula [illegible] Fairmount. At a large valley where a bunch of Hanging Oaks oversees the forks. B. A short dist now beyond fork's of pike 1/4 mi west of Huntsville in the southern branch, I found Conglomerate strata, Derranian limestone, 10ft direct & l with 'folds' for a bed 56 ft dist exposed 10 ft argill. l, & 1/2 Platform direct = upper Fairmount? (At least it's above the Ortho[ rhynchula horizon at the bridge now my Huntsville, creek level line. The Derranian limestone has been present at all exposures along the western boundary of Fairmont from Wineland to this point west of Huntsm- villle. C. Where road turns south 1-3/4 mi W of Huntsville, Der. limestone, 6ft directred & Shale langes, see section 224 old run in. About half a mile beyond the unity boundary where a road turns off south) Black Shale is exposed; A tiny distance of flat land up to this point (since C), limestone is under laid by the Derranian lime- stone, At the RR cut directly S into Wineland, the Der. shist writes the residual drive ordered from it was at the top of the Onsgvillle section.
