Never seen another the larger ledges. Black quarries Used for building stone, about west of Southern bridge on by way. Occasionally from bluder ledge, 5 inths & dykes. Hill sometimes worked before the beach quarries w/ &' w/ clined a railroad. Beach quarries next long after, two miles after; 77 hills & Hyde park on Madison road. Takes Madison & Hyde Park car, P.J. Delaney, 1768 & McWillie's North 3379 R. W.H. Mrs Cox first quarried, Wayne, Armacoost & bulking quarrys, opened up in in 1867. Last quarry in 1887, Ernest Armacoost forty yrs old.
