Whitish bed, 5 ft fully fossil, grey sandy appearing. 33 ft up is St Louis with Syrin appena & Archaeocidaris spp[erif]. 17 ft up with St Louis L. [illegible] limestone. 2 ft. Very abundant and quartz pebbles 1-1 1/2 in diameter. Tips of sections. 202. Massive L, like Spengler[?] ft about, apparently, judging from blocks along the road, with athurton like material di- rectly beneath. [illegible] oinoid, at road junction. 203. Limostone & Syrin? 9 in the underclay at least or dy with fossils [illegible] 204. Sipy Kurt, large Cymploma, blocks remaining. 41 ft internal, with surface crow by cyl. blocks. 6 ft sand, yellowish brown + some white. 16 1/2 ft out exposed. One loose St Louis block at top. 1435 NSGS according to [illegible], 15 ft natural & St Louis chert and zone shale beneath. Tips of massive L, such as we like the Atherton clayey ma- terial. This massive L is pretty Atherton bed and just the Spengler perfect. 205. The arch appearing size 2 with ward. The other the L exposed by reaching the [illegible], and this in nothing but HARDdsburg about is seen. Further south, the road gets down to the good forming limestones. 206 Bed of [illegible] limestone at junc- tion with road across ford, 207 Tipy Black Slate & 3 feet above creek crossing 208 Black shale at 1600 ft NSGS.
