Trapline Station ID# spp. sex, age, breeding June 5 (cont) IV 9 1939 P. californicus ?, nonbreeding (vulva "crusty")
234-128-26-25 ~ 30g, Brown color. Tail grayish white ventrally. Escaped up into willow, then went back down to a woodrat nest.
10 1940 P. boylii ?, adult, nonbreeding (vulva closed)
186-100-22-20 ~18g. Animal mostly brown with some grayish tint. Tail stripe distinct. Escaped into downed hollow log; white visible on side
10 1941. P. californicus ?, immature (all grey), nonbreeding
180-97-25-22 ~14g. Animal all gray, faint white tail tip. Tawny on head, tail stripe as in above animals (except 1940), hair on tail very short. Escaped to more southerly log.
Finally finished checking traps 1130hrs. Returned to lab to check species identifications. The sun burned the clouds off around 0930hrs, and the temp is rose to the low 80's today.
Spent most of the afternoon resetting traps. Caught a Bewick's Wren in trap at station 9, Trapline IV. Released it unharmed.
Finished resetting Trapline IV @ 1745. Travelled up Madison Canyon to scope things out for trapping.
