0300 - I could follow BOlo's green pigment trail up to 5m to the east from station 5,13. The "fancy" # blacklight is definitely the key. The trail went under the vegetation (Piles, poison oak, etc), ending at a second log.
0315 - Redused #635 at 6,11
0325 - 2649 M (5,10) - Orange on limbs, mouth, ears, tail. Definite contact.
Finished checking traps at 0350hrs. On RC-1 - Started on MC-1 at 0415hrs
0430h - 1929 F (9,7) - ORANGE on limbs, mouth, ears, tail, lower ventral
0500h - 1934 F (9,13) - slight traces of orange on tail's links. No definite contact.
0540h - Whipporwill? Calling.
Finished checking MC-1 at 65hrs. Started checking RC-1 at 0630hrs
#609 (7,16) - appears to have RED on limbs, tail's ears. Fairly definite
#608 (5,14) - appears to have some green on EARS
I found both missing traps near station 5,15 - interesting, because one of the traps did have a Neotoma inside (full of seeds), and the door was covered with hairs that were held by some dried fluid (saliva or urine?). Maybe a bob-cat?
Finished checking traps @ 07:15. It is a clean, very foggy morning.
Temp low 70's.
Summary of Capture Results on MC-1:
P. californicus = 15 captures (10 M, 5 F)
P. boylii - 17 captures (7 M, 10 F), 2 new animals (1 M : 1 F)
P. truei : 7 captures (3 M: 4 F)
N. fuscipes: 6 captures (1 M : 3 F : 2 untaged)
Perognathus californicus: 1 M
M. californicus : 1 M
Total captures = 47
