Lost patch of hair on back above shoulders ? postum. 10 0200 P.boylii RECAP At 1020, I saw a Lampropeltis getulus (common kingsnake) coiled around a Pitophis melanoleucus. I attempted to pick up the Lampropeltis, but it became very aggressive and eventually moved on (total length ~60 cm, dark purple bands between creamy bands). I pulled the Pitophis free; it was about 30cm long and its head was ripped behind its musculature mouth, but its body was stiff was still contracting. I left the Pitophis, and when I returned 10min later the Lampropeltis had returned to the original kill site. I moved on so that it could find the Pitophis. Max trap: 92 Min: 56
