RIBBLE, D.O. 1980 Journal 32 Hastings Reservation Mokelumne Co., CA July 1 (cont.) The transects look like this: Max temp: 88 Min temp 54 TOP OF SLOPE 5 3 2 10,4(1) 10,0(1) "A" Three traps were placed at each station w/ 10-20m between stations. Set up Transect TK in Finch Creek Canyon. Station 1 is 30m downstream from the bridge which is 0.9 mi SW from Hastings road. The transect runs downstream, 2 traps per station, 15-20m spacing. All stations follow the stream on the west side, except #9 & 10 which angle up the hillside. The habitat is very similar to Madrone Canyon with live oaks, snowberry, mou person oak, and thick leaf litter. Today is hot! mid 90s, breezy up to 10 mph, and clear. Set up Transect X in Robertson Creek Canyon, 0.4 mi upstream (SW) of Hastings Gate. 10 stations, 2 traps/station, 15-20m spacing- The habitat on this transect ranges from steep hillside oak cover with abundant leaf litter) to riparian bottom w/ oak, snowberry, ferns, & person oak. The slope faces the NE. Only 95 traps out tonight. July 2 0530h. Clear and warm this morning (mid 50's) with a slight breeze. During it was clear and calm. Escaped under rocks at station 1991 P.californicus. DECAP. Still has a lot of Orange pigment. Escaped to shrub w (lm) of station. 740. P.californicus Recap. this Orange Pigment. Escaped down hill towards dog. 3. 7knl: trscipes . DECAP. Escaped to midden 3m E of station 4 2640-P.tueyi, or mature, new heding. dew animal. Escaped under rock at station 4 728 P.californicus. Recap. Escaped toward Grid 5 471o P.tueyi ZECAP. Escaped in hole under Madrone at station
