elu the afternoon I staked out 1 more row on the south side of MC-1,
row #10.
Trapline VII - Set out 10 stations, 10-15m spacing, 2 non-folding
Sheumans per station, backed up Cob's rolled cats. The line starts
where the Robertson Creek Road branches to the NE (0.9mi from
Hastings main entrance). The line follows the course of the dry
streambed in NE direction. Vegetation dominated by oak (live?),
person oak, & snowberry. At least 5 Hectoroma middens are
located along the line.
I began resetting traps on MC-1 about 1630hrs, finished 1820 hrs.
Caught the following animal #750 M. californicus, ♂, mature, nonbreeding.
Total length=165mm-Station 9,8
Finished resetting Trapline VII at 1900hrs.-Long day, hot, clear, as before
June 26
Staked @ 0540 this morning. As with yesterday, night was clear & calm. A
few scattered clouds on the east & west horizon this morning.
