Passage from Onisk - to this Grit - is very abrupt & strongly defined, Dark or nearly black weathering to gray or brown gray, with strong joint lines nearly lat 25-26 deg bedding + these being often close & well defined while the lines of bedding are obscure, give it its appearance of nearly vertical stratification. In superior strata a gradual increase of calcareous matter + fossils imperceptibly to the Schodak Grit, which contains many fossils.
