1060 dips 20° S 20 E thickness 40 ft thin layers with fossils are in the otherwise barren sand stone B5 At its Bot the Runny Place at upper narrows, a large ridge of sandy slate dip 55 N 20 W. no fossils For the distance of 3 miles the same slate is exposed along the shore of the lake until the inlet is reached. At four slate ridges appear on the river. The dip is 65 N 20 W and the rocks of the same character as that on this lake. Reached Jackman town supper. June 26- Packed fossils all day. Left for Ethaca at 12 P.M. on C.P.R.R. via Montreal reaching there at 9,45 Am. on the 28th. 85-
