This is certainly a useful job I overlooking that ought to be done, and he has very little resource to draw upon. May 1 9:50 am. - To Richmond, Va. Country this morning looks different—drier more rolling, with mixed deciduous and pine woods, rivers on rock bottom. Birds noted since entering Virginia: Bluebird 1; Crow 4; Yellow Warbler 1; Turkey Buzzard English Sparrow (scores in each city); Spotted Sandpiper 1. 11:45 a.m. - at Fredericksburg, Va. Fully 20 Chimmney Swifts cavorting about over the city home-tops. Here
