We left Juneau at 9:30 and anchored in Whale Harbor at 8 o'clock in the evening. Just as we anchored we saw a flock of geese go by. - April 17 - It was clear this morning and Littlejohn and I went ashore before breakfast. There were two bald eagles sitting in the top of a big tree. In a little bright there were geese and several kinds of ducks and we thought we saw the following species: Goldeye, Puddy, 2 camp and lots of old Squaw. As we steamed out the harbor we saw 3 large finback whales playing about in the channel. We reached Windfall Harbor about noon and spent the rest of the day making camps
