We went out and hunted around
some beaver meadows this
morning. Flushed a gander but
couldn't find the goose or the nest.
Spent the rest of the morning
shining the beaver. Mr. Stephens
same rip and said that Miss
Alexander had started at 2:30 that
morning for Jameean with an old
hunter in the little boat. They
made 5 miles an hour on the
average for 8 hours. In the after
noon we went down and made
camp about halfway up the
big lake.

Hunted beaver this morning.
Wasselborg shot one with the
shot gun but it sank and we
failed to get it. Spent most of the
day trying to photograph a beaver
and finally thought I would succeed
as I got within 15 ft. of one but just
as I snapped he went down with
