Saturday, On going up Forkes & Greer's Hollow, N. of the RR. and a short distance east of the bridge W. of Pegram the Plow- shale layer at the base of the Black shale seems to rest on the top of the clayey Sandst, and just in the Springsville. This accords with the great thickening of the Springsville E. showing marked uneven- formity, Saturday, 1½ mi. E. of Pegram. + Pterocrinus semisiformis +? Cyathocrinus several. Streptomena, size of patenta but no double curvature noticed. Septaena showbridalis. Sprifer, very small, crispa? Sprifer Niagaraensis, large. Strong plicatums, + longitudinal stripe. like Whitfieldella nitida but much smaller. Munistellus, large & rad. Aryka reticulans. Rhyndimella, Tennesseeensis; medium size, plenty. Pterinea brisa, Platystoma Niagaraens. Calymene Niagaraensis. Dalmanites pygidium large Hindmuths? projecting spine at end of pygidium scarce, Sunday, Aug 13. '99. Nashville.
