Moore. Passerella iliaca sinuosa December 8/29 Early in the morning these sparrows may be found feeding in the river bottom in Pine Oak Canyon, two mi. S. of Redlands, 1300 ft., San Bernardino Co., California. Later in the day they may be found in the upper well wooded slopes on both sides of the canyon. One group of approximately fifteen in number was found in a large clump at 8 A.M. cut brush on the side of the wash bottom. When frightened out, most of its members flew up into the brush covered slopes, while others sought refuge in the hollows of the wash bottom.
