Moore Mullfraga columbiana July 30, 1929 A Clarke Crow was seen flying overhead at Bluff Lake 7400 ft. San Bernardino Mts., San Bernardino Co., Calif. August 1, 1929 A single individual observed flying overhead at Bear Valley Dam, 7000 ft. San Bernardino Mts., San Bernardino Co., Calif. The bird stopped in a tree for a few moments and then flew on down the canyon, westwardly. September 8, 1929 Clarke Crows were seen from the vicinity of Hidden Lake 8,100 ft. to the summit of San Jacinto Peak, 10,805 ft., on the Idylwild to San Jacinto Peak trail. San Jacinto Mts., Riverside Co., Calif. At 10,600 ft. on San Jacinto Peak, several of these crows were observed persecuting a Sharp-shinned Hawk, which kept darting in and out among the stunted timberline on the high slope. As the hawk would emerge into the open, the high flying crows would all make a long sweeping dive at their adversary. The hawk and its persecuting party finally disappeared over the ridge, and down on the west side of the range
