September 2, 1939
Two of these light blue pigeons were observed about 11 A.M., flying overhead in Waterman Canyon at 4,000 ft. N. San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., Calif. They settled on an oak limb on the side of the hill above Cold Creek Ranch. At two P.M. a single individual was frightened while feeding on choke cherries, among their limbs growing on the edge of a meadow at Cold Creek Ranch. The owner of the ranch reports seeing about a dozen of these birds among some oak trees beside the Waterman Creek road September first.
