One dead individual found in
the spring at Bluff Lake 7400 ft. San
Bernardino Mts., San Bernardino
Co. Calif.
July 30, 1929
A set of forty mice traps in the
wet, lower end of Bluff Lake meadow,
San Bernardino Mts., San Bernardino
Co. Calif., baited with small pieces
of bacon for shrews, caught
four Microtus mordan bernardina.
Two of the specimens were adult
males, one an adult female, and
the other a juvenile female. All
of the specimens were taken in
the grass at the lower end of the
meadow, in close proximity to water.

Eleven mice traps set along a
small brook running into Big Bear
Lake at the dam, 7000 ft., San Bernardin
Mts., San Bernardino Co., Calif.
cought two adult meadow mice.
A single individual was also
taken about three hundred yards
from any water, under a buckthorn
bush.
