Perognathus arenarius
Oct.24 E side Isla Cerralvo, Baja Calif., Mex. - As
we were carrying our gear up from the water
line to camp, saw a mouse thought to be a
Perognathus.
Oct.26 One seen walking + hopping under a dead
fallen "tree" or brush pile about 8:30 p.m.,
in an area where I had caught only Peromyscus
for 2 nights, near camp.
Oct.27 In a trapline through a brushy hillside with
open spaces, caught one pocket mouse, a male.
Oct.29 Set 3 traps near camp last night, where I had
seen a mouse, but no success. This evening
soon after dark caught one small mouse live.
