Banks 1960 Eudrocops seclaris Isla Oct 22 Espiritu Santo S end, Baja California de Sur, Mexico - Heard 2 of these birds in the plain near the beach on the S end of the island, but didn't see them. Later, on the ridge & of the Mangroves (see journal) saw one at a hole in a cactus. There were 2, perhaps 3, in this area. Collected 1, a 8 with skull ossified only in occipital region. It was nearly finished with molt, but sheaths bordered the wide ventral apterium and were abundant on rear crown + neck. Oct 25 E side Isla Cerralvos Baja Calif. Mexico - One seen near camp early, several others heard for seen during my morning hunt. Oct 26 One collected in morning. It was molting on the body + crown. The skull was fully 2-layer, the ovary small. Oct 28 Seen & Heard as I was on my way to the ridge. Oct 29 Heard today.
