Banks 1960 Falco sparverius Oct.25 Enide Isla Cerralvo, Baja Calif., Mexico - One flew over the arroyo above camp early in the morning, giving the characteristic call. It looked large. Held one (ornise) several times during the day. Oct.26 A pair were very noisy over a large area just N of the arroyo nearly all day. They were seen to chase larger birds of prey; One flew after a red- tailed hawk. Late in pm., saw one sitting on a "cordon" on the S side of the arroyo. It had a spotted breast. Oct.27 Seen often today, but not as conspicuous as yesterday. Oct.28 Seen several times. There may be another falcon here also. Oct.29 A male collected this morning had a stomach full of insect parts.
