Oct. 20 Santa Rosalia, Baja California, Mexico - In 20 minutes here, saw
several vultures flying (soaring) N & S, right along the shore
line, apparently using currents setup by the junction of
land & water. They were not very high.
La Paz, Baja California, Mexico - About 6 p.m., several seen
over the waterfront, by Col. Read's apartment.
Oct. 21 at 7.30 Saw 10 rising over the hills to the N of the city. Two were
sitting on a lamppost by water's edge, and a third
flew in and landed about 50 ft. from the base of the
pole, began feeding on what was left of a dead dog at
the edge of the water.
Oct. 25 Inside Isla Cerralvo, Baja Calif., Mexico - several
seen, off & on all day, soaring around.

Oct. 27 " One seen sitting on a cordon
Oct. 28 Shortly afternoon, 10 were circling over the
arroyo & just to the north. Late in the afternoon
17 were circling north of our canon.
Oct. 29 A bird flying directly over camp was seen to
stretch his right leg forward and scratch his
throat or head.
