Epidornax sp. Hummingbird sp.
Broke picked up a skeleton of a [Buted?] and found
antler shel. (nail?) which I'll get tomorrow.
Oct.26 Had 1 more Peromyscus when I checked traps at
dawn. Worked up the arroyo again, got a long
way farther up than yesterday. In patches
along the arroyo the vegetation is rather thick,
forming woodland-type formation, principally
Bursera (spelling?) and Pachycormus. There are
several plants in flower, used by bees & humming-
birds. Several places along the arroyo the ground
looks damp, but we haven't found any open
water. In late afternoon set all traps in a
large arroyo to the S off the main one. Bird sees:
Raven Brown Pelican
Osprey Black Throated Sparrow
Turkey Vulture White-Crowned Sparrow
Sparrow Hawk Blue Gray Gnatcatcher
Red-Tailed Hawk Gila Woodpecker
Ash-Throated Flycatcher Cactus Woodpecker
Mockingbird Rock Wren
Loggerhead Shrike
