Bards 1960 32 Journal Oct. 24 E side Isla Cerralvo, Baja Calif, Mexico end. My impression of the island on approach was that it is exceedingly barren and steep. The E side, hovever, is much more shaded, and much more vegetated. It is very steep in places, but a few canyons offer fairly broad approaches to the higher country. It's such an anroyo that we camped in. Set our gear on shore at dusk, carried it up into the gorge + made camp after dark. I set out 15 museum special + 2 rat trap near camp. Oct. 25. Arose before dawn, checked traps. Had 8 Peromyscus. Buried them in the
