Oct. 23 La Paz, Baja Calif., Mexico — Dick Adeoch met us
while we were eating breakfast; the storm has
gone inland and broken up, but since he had prior
commitments we will go to Cerralvo tomorrow.
Spent a good part of the day putting up the stuff I
set yesterday. Bob’s rabbit took the most time.
In the afternoon met Richard Ethridge, Ph.D from
Mich., on second post-doctoral year at USC with
Savage. He has done lots collecting on Cerro Alto

to the Cape. He is working on Iguanid systematics via
skeletal approach — similar to some of Bob’s thoughts.
He put Scaphiopus couchii + Perognathus on Cerralvo.
Today was less cloudy than the past few days.

island, returned & went ashore about 1/3 down from the N
