June 10 Bogard Campground, 5600 +/- ft., Lassen Co. Calif. - On
a drive around this end (W) of the flat, at the
extreme W end there is a large green meadow. Here I
saw a herd of 15 deer + there may have been more
behind the trees. Later, on the logging road at the E
side of the flat, saw a buck with antlers in velvet-
at least 3 points on each side. He was with a doe.
