Spots of all tracts except femoral have merged into dark lines; show as definite feathers under skin on back and humeral tract. Anterior & lateral part of ventral tract shows dark papillae. Very active in hand. Both birds gaped when I moved the nest. Fed both after weighing. As soon as I was in truck, an ad. wanted the food. 5:05 Fed the little one - the other did not gape.
